Lady Gaga Fails to Set New Record

September 13, 2010
At last night's MTV Video Music Awards, Lady Gaga won eight Moonman awards, including Video of the Year, but she failed to set a new record.  In fact, all she did was tie a record set twenty four years ago by the Norwegian group A-ha when they got eight awards in 1986 for "Take On Me", a quirky mix of live action and animation which was cutting edge at the time.  The next year, 1987, Peter Gabriel set the new, still unmatched record of nine MTV VMAs for his live and stop-motion turn with "Sle...

9/11 Protests All Aimed At Wrong Target

September 10, 2010
Tomorrow is September 11, the ninth anniversary of the so-called "attacks" on America, and extremists on both sides of the issue are aiming their slings and arrows at the wrong target.  Muslim extremists are mad at the American people, and American extremists are singling out Muslims as hate mongers.  As we here at Chief Jack Radio have been saying since the original 9/11, there is only one entity responsible for all this: the United States government and George Bush.  Bush has many friends i...

People Not Yet Ready For 3D TV

September 10, 2010
A study just completed by The Neilsen Co. showed a surprising trend.  It seems that nearly fifty percent of people have a negative view of 3D television, and that view was worse in people who actually attended test showings of the medium.  Test subjects who took part in a 30 minute 3D TV test cited a number of concerns.  In a world where no one concentrates on what they're watching on TV because they're too busy talking on their smartphones while updating their Facebook status at the same tim...

XBox Live Suspends Account Over Town Name

September 8, 2010
John Moore is an avid gamer, and he plays several XBox Live games, but he ran into a snag when he wanted to enter an online tournament.  In his info, he listed his home town as Fort Gay, West Virginia.  The rules enforcer for XBox live thought he was making a joke or a racial slur, so they asked him to put down his town's real name.  When Moore refused to change it, his account was suspended pending review, even though he implored XBox to look it up and even provided its zip code. "Google it ...
