Artist and photographer Sally Davies took on a challenge from a friend who claimed that any hamburger would rot and mold within two or three days of being left out in the open.  Davies tok that bet and started what is now called The Happy Meal Project.  She bought a McDonald's Happy Meal and left it on a kitchen counter back in April.  Now, almost six months later, the burger has yet to even grow mold.  She says the Happy Meal stopped emitting any odors after 24 hours and is now as hard as a rock.  Perhaps Miss Davies' friend wouldn't have made this challenge if he had heard of the nutritionist who has kept a McDonald's hamburger in her office since 1996.
