The island nation of Indonesia appears to be in self-destruct mode these days. On October 26, Mount Merapi, a dangerous volcano, exploded to life, claiming dozens of lives.  Within 24 hours, a 7.7 earthquake struck the region, creating a ten-foot tsunami that killed over 440 people.  The volcano continued to rumble and bleed lava, and this morning, amidst a torrential downpour, it boomed with its biggest eruption, extending the danger zone around it from six to nine miles.
