The massive rain in China and Pakistan has caused death and devastation throughout the area. As of late on August 9, local time, at least 337 people are known dead and over 1,150 are missing in China, where entire villages were swept away and many cities are still chest deep in brackish water and mud from landslides. A Pakistani Airblue plane crashed into a hillside early this morning as it was coming in for a landing, killing all 152 people aboard. The plane, an AirbusA321, was ending a two-hour flight between Karachi and Islamabad in rainy, foggy weather when the control tower lost contact with it.
