Fox TV says its panel of judges for the tenth season of American Idol is in place, but is refusing to divulge who it is.  Our sources tell us that the network is still trying to figure out how to handle my petition for joining the show's judges in light of how many of you wrote in to have me be on the panel.  It appears that while most of the network execs had no idea who I am, their research backed up my 41-plus year in the business, and they are worried about a scandal if Mohawk Radio fans ...

Fox TV: Kara Is Officially Out

Fox announced on Saturday that Kara DioGuardi is now officially out as a judge on American Idol, leaving Randy Jackson as the only original member of the panel.  Kara was gracious and upbeat as she confronted reporters and called her Idol experience "amazing".  Show producer Simon Fuller says that he will continued his professional relationship with the songwriter, who still had a one year option on her contract that Fox didn't exercise.   Rumors still are flying that Steven Tyler and Jennife...

The Latest Name In the Hunt For Simon's Spot

There's another new name in the search for a replacement for Simon Cowell's spot on the panel of American Idol judges.  Chris Isaak has met twice with show executives about the gig, The Hollywood Reporter announced on July 20, and some sources say he has the inside track in a lineup that has included Harry Connick Jr, Donald Trump, and Bret Michaels.  Bret said in a CNN Headline News interview last week that he would love to do the show, but it appears that Idol has passed him by.  It should ...
