It was reported after our press time on Monday that famous musician, conductor, and television icon Mitch Miller died on July 31 after a brief illness at New York's Lennox Hill Hospital.  Miller's death at age 99 was revealed by his daughter.  Miller was a powerful figure at Columbia Records at the time that rock 'n' roll was beginning to steamroll the charts.  He helped the careers of Tony Bennett, Rosemary Clooney, Patti Page, and Johnny Mathis blossom, but was also known for a few major mi...
