Research In Motion, maker of BlackBerry phones, has been singled out as a security threat recently in the Middle East because of the secure encryption it uses, which makes it impossible for outside sources to decode E-mails and messages sent with these phones. By the time you read this, Saudi Arabia should have its BlackBerry phone ban in effect, taking hundreds of thousands of the devices off the market. Saudi government officials cite the encrypted E-mail downloading and sending as the main reason for outlawing the Canadian phones.
