Microsoft is dead serious about returning to the mobile phone business after their first failed attempt.  Earlier today the company, in partnership with AT&T, showed off three of its new WP7 phones---the Samsung Focus, LG Quantum, and HTC 7 Surround, all of which will sell for about $200, the same as the latest iPhone.  T-mobile will offer the HTC HD7 and HTC Mozart in November.  The WP7 platform will allow access to the Zune music system and, in collaboration with EA Games, the ability to use a mobile version of the XBOX360.  Microsoft Office will also be a part of the phones, but Microsoft has a long way to go to beat the world-leading Android platform.
